Saturday was the first day of summer, so Mr. S and I went to one of our old neighbourhoods- Queens quay and Spadina to enjoy a beautiful afternoon. As soon as we got closer to the lake, Mr. S took a deep breathe and said: "Hmm.. It smells like my cottage." He misses being close to the lake and being able to jump into the water anytime he wants. And me? I miss the ocean...
星期六是今年盛夏的开始，所以我和S先生就索性到我们之前住过得湖边附近去感受了久违的夏天的爽快。他刚一到湖边，就深了一口气，感叹：“这味道闻起来像我们家的农舍。”而我呢，就很想念大海。
(在这里解释一下农舍的意思。北美这边呢，一般条件较好的家庭都会在比较偏北边或者人烟稀少的地方买一栋房子，每年一旦到了夏天，全家人就会隔三差五地到那里去住几天，甚至几个星期，度度假，远离城市的喧嚣。)
