Denim on Denim

Hi all, just want to say a quick hello and hope you all are having a great week so far.

I paired a Hollister destroyed dark wash denim jeans with my favourite H&M chambray shirt to create a daring business casual yet polished spring look.

Denim generally is associated with casual and dressing-down, but it actually is also a great piece that can be easily dressed up too. Especially for a more laid-back and creative work atmosphere, denim can definitely come in handy.

今天的这套着装呢，我就把我这条比较深色的牛仔裤与带有退色感的上衣搭在了一起来打造一套春天的休闲商务便装。丹宁总是给人一种休闲随意风的感觉，但其实你知道吗？它也是一件非常具有潜力的单品。不仅特别百搭，而且如果搭配得对的话，还能穿出上班族的严谨呢。特别是如果你在一个比较轻松的公司上班的话，丹宁绝对是你最好的朋友。

Fedora Fever

Happy Good Friday! Any plans for this long Easter weekend? 

周五愉快！这个周末是北美这边的复活节长周末。亲们有什么特别的计划和打算吗？

If you've been following along with my blog, you may have already noticed that I'm a hat lover- from fedora to baseball cap, from vintage to contemporary- I have them all. And I recently just added this grey one to my hat collection. As I love this fedora so much, I decided to go for an accessory free look to highlight this hat even more. Sometimes less IS more. 

如果你一直关注我博客的话，可能早就发现我对帽子的情有独钟了。无论是牛仔帽，还是棒球帽，无论是复古风，还是现代感的，我应有尽有。哈哈。最近呢，我更是把这款灰色的牛仔帽加入了我的帽子收藏中。并且为了能更好地凸显这顶帽子，我决定让这身着装走一个“零饰品”的路线。有时候吧，少的确意味着多！

Flower Girl

If you are following me on Instagram, you probably have already noticed my latest obsession with flowers. The lively colours and uplifting feel attached to them are just incredible. Hope your week has kicked off with a great Monday! If not,  how about treating yourself with a brunch of flowers?

如果你们follow我Instagram的话，恐怕已经发现我最近对鲜花的特别迷恋了。它那灿烂的颜色和充满生机的感觉特别振奋人心，让人陶醉。希望你这个星期有一个很好的开始，如果不太顺利的话，不妨买束鲜花犒劳犒劳自己吧。

Please don't be fooled by the "I LOVE TAX" words on the tee I'm wearing. I do not like tax at all! Haha! But there is a story behind this shirt. The other day when Mr.S was organizing his closet, he found this shirt which he didn't remember where it came from . Not to mention it is way too small for him, but the passion for tax statement is not really his style. However, instead of throwing it away, I decided to put it in MY closet. I've been on the hunt for a simple white tee for quite a while now, and da da da da, here it is. 
So maybe you can go over your closet (or your boyfriend's) and see if you can find something? A university tee? An old jersey? In this way, you not only can save some money from buying new tees, but also recycle some pieces that you thought you would never put in use again.

千万别被这件衣服上“我喜欢税”的字样所欺骗了。我可是一点都不喜欢交税的。再加上在加拿大税这么重。不过，这件衣服的背后是有一个有趣的故事的。有一天S先生在整理他衣柜时发现了这件体恤。但他完全记不起来这件体恤是哪里来的。不过与其把它扔掉，我决定收入我的衣柜里。本来我就已经找这种简单的白体恤找了很久了，所以这件衣服的出现简直感觉是雪中送炭。我也建议亲们不妨到自己或者男朋友的衣橱里仔细搜索一下，说不定就能找件称心如意的上衣呢。这样既省钱了，也好好回收利用了。不是吗？

Skirt Over A Dress

Hi all,

Congratulations! You have finally made it to Friday! Yeah!! Was it a super long never-ending week? Or did it pass by very quickly? Well, whether you had an awesome or awful week, we should all agree that the spring temperature is gradually arriving. Hope you will get as much Vitamin D as possible to get rid of the winter blues.

恭喜你们总算是熬到了周五！这一周感觉过得特别漫长还是一眨眼就过了呢？不管你是度过了一个愉快还是难熬的一周，我觉得吧，应该趁这个周末好好地享受一下温暖的阳光。尽可能的补充维他命D来消除冬天带来的郁闷心情。

Can you tell that I'm wearing a lace skirt over this Joe Fresh eclectic striped dress? It's actually quite fun to play with this trend. It not only gives the outfit a more dimensional feel, but is also creating an illusion of higher waist line and longer legs.

你能看出来其实这条蕾丝短裙是穿在Joe Fresh裙子外面的吗？哈哈，其实这个流行元素还是蛮好玩的。它不仅给整体带来了更多的层次感，还会给人在视觉上制造一种假象。让你的腰部位置可以看起来更高一些，那么腿也就自然而然地感觉长了一些。

Office Tour

Hi all,

Today I'd like to take you on a tour in my little "office"- not too big but just enough for me to get creative. Mr.S and I live in a decent size one bedroom apartment. Although it's far from the LOFT space I've always been dreaming about- high celling, brick walls, industrial pipes and so forth, it is still a very cozy place to call home.

One thing about me is that I always like facing a big window while sitting down doing my work. Whether it is writing a blog post, reading a fashion magazine, or just having a cup of coffee, looking outside of the window and taking in some fresh air virtually has been my favourite thing to do in the morning.

今天呢，我决定带亲们到我所谓的办公室里坐坐。我这个办公的空间虽然不大但却足以让我有一个充分发挥想象力的平台。我和S先生住在一个一房一厅的公寓里。尽管这个公寓跟我向来梦寐以求的工厂试，高天花板，砖墙等特色的空间相差深远，不过只要用心布置，还是一个非常温馨的小窝。我是那种特别喜欢坐在一扇大窗户前观景或做事的女孩。无论是写博客，看时尚杂志，还是喝杯咖啡，坐在窗前感受新一天的开始是我每天早上最喜欢做的事儿。  挺小资的吧？哈哈

FIY. I don't really have helium balloons in my apartment all the time. But unexpectedly, these beautiful balloons have been lasting a long time since January when I worked on a project with Benefit Canada (here). I didn't want to throw them away because the uplifting holiday spirit they created is unspeakably pleasant. I believe flowers can do the same tricks. :))

申明一下哦，我家里不是向来都有氢气球作为摆设的。这些气球是我在一月份拍一组贝铃妃春节特别照片时买的（看这里），但这气球就一直这么保持着，也没泄气。本来想说把它仍了的，但实在不想失去它所带来的那种喜气洋洋的节日气氛。我想花也可以营造同样的氛围。

I hope this tour can inspire you in any positive way. A place doesn't have to be very spacious. As long as you are willing to put your heart and time into decorating and organizing it, it will turn into a cozy and beautiful space. I believe home is where the heart is.

Pastel Pink

It's no secret that pastel is taking over this spring and summer. But instead of wearing this trend from head to toe to make an unnecessary statement, I decide to intergrade some pastel hints to my outfit to create a fresh spring look. 

柔和的粉笔色毫无疑问绝对是今年春夏的主打色啦。不过与其全身上下都穿着这种色彩来展示这个流行元素，还不如微妙地引入到我的服饰里来呈现一个清新的春天着装。

We took these photos during the weekend when we went to visit Mr.S's parents in Oakville. The beautiful weather was pleasant enough for us to walk around and enjoy the uniqueness that the local boutiques have to offer. Few days ago, I read about how the businesses in downtown Oakville were struggling due to the combination of increased rent, less traffics and the brutal winter. So many stores have closed or are planning to close theirs doors for good. My heart was pinching after the read. I personally love to shop in local boutiques- not only to find the unique pieces that you won't find in those big retail shops, but also to personally connect with the owners and get to know their stories. I really hope that something positive and supportive will be happening in downtown Oakville again.

这组照片是这个周末我们去看望S先生父母时在Oakville拍的。当天的天气可谓是非常宜人啊，我们也趁机好好在特色的市中心转了转，欣赏一下当地的小商铺。就在几天前我看报纸时读到这个市中心商铺的生意可是非常难做－由于租金涨价，人流量少以及残酷冬天的综合打击而导致的。当我看到这则新闻时确实感到很揪心。我向来对当地的精品商店由衷的喜爱，不仅可以掏到许多在连锁品牌店无法找到的精品，还可以与店主有更亲密的交流。但愿Oakville市中心的商铺会有一些起色吧。

Talking about shopping local, I bought this hair band in a local shop called  Durumi & Chocolate Shoes right at Queen and Spadina in Toronto. This piece originally was just a hair band (Check out my Instagram where captured how I wore it to the Toronto Fashion Week), but I thought it'd be funny to put it as a bow tie. So I wore it as a joke and showed it to Mr.S, but to my surprise we both ended up loving how it looks. Ha Ha!

提到在当地消费，我在多伦多Queen和Spadian的附近的一家店铺里买了这个发葜。当然本来它只是一个发葜的，但是我就想说把它当成一个领带应该会很好玩。我就戴着给S先生看，想不到我俩都对这个结果感到很满意。哈哈！
