Thoughts on Valentine's Day

Yes, one of the most romantic days of the year is just around the corner. Are you excited? Ready? Well, sadly, sometimes I do feel that Valentin's Day has been over-commercialized and could actually be overwhelming and even depressing. Do I HAVE TO buy her something expensive to show that I love her? What should I get for my boyfriend in order to let him know that he is important to me? Well, how I look at it is that this is just ONE of the 365 days of the year to show your love to those who are important to you. It doesn't really matter what gift I get on that day particularly, but the love, respect, time and care that I have received during the rest of the year. There is a saying: Make everyday a Valentine's Day! :)

Also, when I was in China, I thought Valentines Day was about celebrating love just between couples. However, since I moved to Canada, I'v learnt that anybody could be your valentine. Your teacher, your sister, your mom, or your friend...

被视为一年中最浪漫的那一天已经近在咫尺了。你开心吗？准备好了吗？

遗憾的是，我觉得情人节已经被过渡商业化了。并且，这个本来用以展现爱的节日却可能演变为一场噩梦，让人郁闷和苦恼。我是否应该给我的女朋友买一件很昂贵的礼物以表达我的爱呢？我应该买什么东西给我的男朋友来让他知道他在我心中的重要性呢？我觉得吧，情人节只不过是365天中，来展现爱的其中一天罢了。我不会太在乎在情人节的这一天我得到了什么礼物，而是在剩下的这一年当中，我所获得的爱，尊重，时间，和呵护。有句话说得好：让你的每一天都过得像情人节一样！

另外，以前我在中国国内的时候，以为情人节只不是情侣的节日而已。来到加拿大才知道，其实谁都可以跟你共同庆祝情人节，你的老师，妹妹，妈妈，或者朋友。。。

My Virtual Closet (Part 2)

Red has always been THE colour for celebration and passion in many different cultures, and with New Year's Eve countdown approaching, I'm hoping to spread some cheer, joy and luck with you!

My Virtual Closet (Part 1)

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I'm just saying a quick hello and hope you are fighting off the Winter Blues. If Santa Clause was real, I would beg him for a warmer and brighter winter this year!

Although I do highly appreciate many beautiful designer pieces, but sometimes either they are over my budget or not available in Canada, so I'd purchase them with my mind and put them in my virtual closet. During this holiday season, I will share some stunning items (at least I think so) with you in separated parts. If you have the budget, I'd say pull the trigger and go for it. But if you are just like me, well, we don't have to owe something to be able to appreciate it. Right? Okay, let's get started. As you may know, light pink will be a very big hit this Spring. So why not now let this warm and cozy colour lighten up your closet (or virtual closet)?

周五好！我就想跟你们打声招呼，希望你们在这个郁闷的冬季里都过得开心。如果圣诞老人是真的话，我一定会求他今年给我们一个暖一点，亮一点的冬天！

尽管我对很多设计师的美丽高端产品和服饰都很欣赏，但是要么我就没那个钱去买，要么东西在加拿大就买不到。所以每当这个时候，我就会在脑海里把它买下来，然后放在我的“抽象衣橱”里。在今年的这个节假日里，我会分期给你们介绍一些我认为很不错的东西。如果，你们有那个经济能力的话，我鼓励你，买！但如果你像我一样的话，我说啊，咱们不用拥有它，也能欣赏它，是吧？今天我会像大家介绍几款淡粉色的东西。你们可能也知道，淡粉色在明年春季将会非常流行。所以，为什么不提前在你的衣橱（或抽象衣橱）里增添点颜色呢？
